John Parker, Executive Officer & Co-Founder Email

Mr. Parker emigrated from Ireland to the United States in 1989. In Ireland, he owned and operated John Parker Building Ltd., a residential remodeling firm. After relocating his family to Los Angeles, Mr. Parker was the Construction Manager at a Los Angeles area commercial construction company until co-founding Parker Brown in 1994. Since co-founding Parker Brown, he has set a tone for the company's construction operations and corporate management. Under his direction the company has expanded it's operations twice in its first five years of operation to accommodate the growth in demand for its services.

Mr. Parker lives in Northridge with his wife and three children where he coaches youth soccer and is a board member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Additionally, he is member of the Building Industry Association, the Building Owners and Managers Association, and the Southern California Irish Network, which he helped establish.

Scott Brown, Executive Officer & Co-Founder Email

Mr. Brown worked as a union carpenter for nearly ten years. He owned and operated Accent Interior Systems, providing framing, drywall, and acoustical ceiling services for several of the areas top tenant improvement contractors. He joined with John Parker in August of 1993, before co-founding Parker Brown in 1994. Mr. Brown's attention to detail and personal involvement with clients on his projects has provided the foundation of the company philosophy. Through his direction of the construction activities for the company, Parker Brown has become known for it's high quality finishes along with it's reliable and timely performance.

A native Californian, born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Mr. Brown currently resides in Thousand Oaks with his wife and four children, where he is actively involved in AYSO youth soccer. He is a member of the Building Industry Association, and the Building Owners and Managers Association.

Tom Featherstone, Construction Manager Email

Mr. Featherstone moved to California in 1982 from Chicago. There he owned and operated Featherstone Construction, a commercial, industrial, and municipal construction company. Tom and his company successfully completed many different projects from police "Lock-ups" to filling stations and medical offices. After relocating to California, Tom worked for a local construction company managing various projects for companies as diverse as ABC Television, Longs Drugs, Hewlett Packard and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Tom also worked as construction director for General Motors Hughes Electronics on large capital buildings, clean rooms and a wastewater treatment plant. Tom currently resides in Ojai with his wife and three children where he recently completed the remodeling of his home.

Kevin McLean, Project Manager Email

Mr. McLean joined the Parker Brown Team in early 2003. Kevin is originally from Ireland, and moved to America in 1980. He now resides in Culver City with his wife and 3 children. Kevin has over 27 years of construction experience, with an emphasis in the last 12 years on Retail outlets, Commercial Tenant Improvement and numerous ground-up projects. A brief overview of past projects successfully completed by Mr. McLean include retail outlets for Office Depot, 99 Cent Only, Stroud's and Trader Joes, bank branches for US Bank, Mission Valley Bank and First Republic, and also, countless commercial tenant improvements, ranging in size from 2,500 s.f. to 56,000 s.f. The knowledge gained from his extensive background leads to an experienced and well-rounded Project Manager capable of handling a wide variety of projects.

Mark Bray, Project Manager Email

Mr. Bray joined Parker Brown in 1994 where he worked as a field Superintendent. He has been responsible for numerous commercial offices, medical and bank projects throughout the Santa Clarita, Ventura and L.A. County areas. He headed the ground up building and tenant improvement for the Point Mugu Credit Union Building in Camarillo. With hands on experience in all facets of construction since 1977, his background includes custom and tract housing, commercial tilt up, industrial buildings, restaurant construction, hazardous waste containment systems, water storage tank construction and steel buildings. His attention to detail makes for many successful projects. He was born in the Los Angeles area and lives, with his family, in Santa Clarita.

Ben Alvarez, Project Manager 

Mr. Ben Alvarez is the most recent addition to the Parker Brown team. Ben has 21 years experience in the construction industry where he has been very fortunate to travel and work in many parts of the country building out Retail Stores, Commercial Tenant improvements, and Fast Food Restaurants. Some of these retail stores and restaurants include Guess, Gymboree, Extreme Pizza, Frederick’s of Hollywood, Hollywood Video, Kinko’s, to name just a few. Ben’s attention to detail, his ability to coordinate successful job schedules, while at the same time maintaining budgets have resulted in many successful turnovers to clients. Currently, Ben is busy working on refining our safety program and getting all the Superintendents, Project Managers, and Office personal certified in First Aid and CPR.
Ben Alvarez resides in Simi Valley with his wife and 4 children. When Ben is not busy overseeing construction projects he is at the dance studio that he and his wife own and operate. He spends his free time building stage props for dance team’s competitions.

Miguel Marquez, Estimator Email

Mr. Marquez graduated from John Burroughs High School, in 1996. He then began working for the Burbank Unified School District for 5 years, performing multiple administrative duties. He is currently enrolled at Pierce College, which will enable him to transfer to Cal State University of Northridge (CSUN). There, he plans to receive a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management Technology. Miguel is an energetic and very ambitious individual with tremendous computer skills. Here at Parker Brown, he has proven to be an invaluable asset to the company by estimating for potential jobs, assisting in project management, correlating work schedules, usefulness in aiding our customers, and entering various job costing information into our database.

Tony Coffey, Estimator Email

Mr. Coffey joined the Parker Brown team in the summer of 2007. After moving to Southern California, he began college and a career in construction. Working in the field, Tony learned a wide variety of trades. Over the past six years, he has worked his way from a laborer, to a draftsmen and now, to an estimator. He graduated from Merrill F. West High School in Northern California in 2001. His plans are to graduate with a BA in Construction Management from Cal State University, Northridge (CSUN), and then pursue his Masters in Architecture. Tony’s experience, along with his insatiable drive, makes him a valuable asset to Parker Brown, Inc.

Debbie Osmeña, Office Manager / Accounting Email

Ms. Osmeña emigrated from the Philippines in 1976. After taking several business courses at West Valley Occupational Center, she moved from the retail business to the administrative field. She joined Parker Brown in February of 1998 and has become an indispensable part of the team by providing a bright and winning attitude. Starting off as receptionist and Accounts Payable clerk, Ms Osmeña has moved up and is now responsible for the Accounts Receivable functions of the company, as well as every aspect of the office environment. She assists in all administrative duties, including estimating and scheduling. Debbie also makes sure that the office staff has a good repórte with the clients, as well as our vendors and subcontractors. All in all, she keeps the office organized and productive.

Ashley Brotman, Accounts Payable / Office Support Email

Miss Brotman was born and raised in Southern California. She lived in Palmdale for the last 20 years, moving to Woodland Hills in 2004. Ashley attended Antelope Valley College for two years where she majored in the Theater Arts and Psychology. She is continuing her college education at Pierce College and is working towards attaining her AA degree. Miss Brotman joined the Parker Brown Inc. team in early 2005, and is on her way to a successful career. She has undertaken Accounts Payable, and with her knowledge of computers and her years of customer service, she has proven to be a true asset to the office staff.

Natassia Nazario, Development / Marketing Email

Ms. Nazario graduated from the University of California, Irvine. After four demanding years of full time education, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and Business Management, with an emphasis on Marketing. Raised in Southern California, Natassia currently resides in Granada Hills. Since the beginning of her career, she has worked with developing business and marketing for the company, helping Parker Brown Inc. attain its goal in quality and excellence.
